In the beginning of 2024, we crossed the threshold of Quilt Beginnings and felt something special right away. What began as a search for a business to call our own quickly turned into finding a place that truly felt like home.
Since then, Betsy has taken her first quilting class here, fallen in love with the craft, and experienced firsthand the vibrant, welcoming community that makes Quilt Beginnings so extraordinary. Like so many of you, she delights in working with the QB team to choose just the right pattern and fabric for her next project. Those early moments confirmed what we already felt in our hearts: this is a truly special place.
Over the years, it has been an honor to steward Quilt Beginnings alongside an incredible team and the most wonderful customers. Our History: Where It All Began
Quilt Beginnings' journey started in 1998, when Cathy decided to leave her project management position at Bell Labs to become a quilt shop owner. Her vision was to create a high-energy quilt shop, where customers and staff are treated like family! Quilt Beginnings was born and she never looked back! From our early days on Main Street in Bexley, to our current home on Sawmill in Dublin, our desire to offer you the highest quality materials and education on the market has never waned.
Cathy's daughter Caity rejoined Quilt Beginnings full time in 2019 and they joyfully ran Quilt Beginnings for 4 years as a family business before transferring ownership to Betsy and Galen Kelch at the start of 2024.
