Join Mark Conner, the “Geeky Guy” from Amelie Scott Designs, for an informative 90-minute class on computer skills that apply to use of an embroidery machine. Mark is well versed in use of Windows and Apple computers, and will show the same skills on both types of computers.
Topics covered in the class include:
• Basics of File Explorer and Finder
w Important parts of the window
w Adding files & folders to the Quick Access and Favorites lists
w Moving files between folders and to USB memory sticks
• How to work with ZIP folders
• Ideas for how to organize your embroidery files
• “Do’s and don’ts” for USB memory sticks
• How and when to get help with a computer problem
• Questions from attendees
Feel free to bring your laptop with you. As part of the class, Mark will provide a handout with notes from his presentation.
This is a lecture and visual presentation intended to be informative. Students are not required to bring any supplies or do any preparation for this class.
Please note our classroom is closed until 10 minutes prior to class to allow us time to clean and prepare. We will invite you in with plenty of time to get set up so we can start class promptly. Thank you for your patience!
